Biblical Doctrine
We believe the Scriptures are God's perfect revelation to mankind, fully sufficient for faith and practice. Therefore, we strive to grow in our understanding of biblical doctrine so that we may deepen our knowledge of the savior and conform our lives to His will. Furthermore, we hold that reformed theology most accurately represents the teaching of scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 1:1-3; Matthew 4:4)
Preaching/Teaching
Scripture is given by God to bring people to salvation, mature them in the faith, and equip them for service. Therefore, we are committed to faithful, expository (verse by verse) preaching and teaching, where the point of the text is the point of the sermon. We believe that when God's word is truly preached, his voice is truly heard . (Psalm 119: 7-11, 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 4:1-2)
Worship
We believe worshiping our Creator God in humility and reverence is not only an activity, but a way of life. Worship in spirit and truth draws us to a closer relationship with the Father .Since we are created for the purpose of glorifying God, we strive to keep worship as a priority in both our gathered worship and daily lives. Corporate worship includes prayer, the reading of Scripture, singing, preaching, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper. (2 Cor 5:15, Rev 4:11, Col. 3:17, Heb. 13:15, 2 Cor. 4:10)
Evangelism
We aspire to share the Gospel with every tribe, nation and tongue. We believe in The Great Commission and that we are called to share the Good News of salvation with our own community and every community we touch. We aspire to send out missionaries in our hometown and as far as across the seas. We believe that our mission field consists of every unbeliever that we come across. (Acts 9:20, Rom. 1:8, 1 Pet 3:12, 2 Corinth 5:20, Mark 16:15, Rom 1:16)
Prayer
We desire to devote ourselves to pray in the Spirit both privately and collectively, lifting hands in unity so that we might see his face, perfect what is lacking in our faith, and be obedient to our calling as intercessors. (I Thessalonians 3:10; 5:1, Matthew 18:19-20; Colossians 4:2; 1 Timothy 2:1-2)
Service
Scripture commands us to do good to all people as we have opportunity, especially to the family of God. Therefore, we seek to follow the example of the Savior, who came not to be served but to serve. Furthermore, we believe that God has equipped each of us with gifts to serve his church and minister to the world. (Mark 10:45, Galatians 6:10, 1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:6-8; John 13:12-17)
Family
As a church built on the foundation of Christ, our Cornerstone, we cherish the importance of family. We believe in the God given design, importance and vitality of the nuclear family, and gladly welcome children in our worship gatherings. We also embrace our church body as our family. As a body of believers, we strive to teach all ages the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invest much energy, time and focus on our children’s and youth ministry as they are the future of our church and the world. (Gen 2:24, Eph 5:22-23, Mark 10:8-9, Psalm 127:3-5, Luke 18:16, John 16:21, Eph 6:4)
Stewardship
We believe that all we are and have is a gift from God. Therefore, we desire to use our gifts, finances, talents and timeto enter into the joy of our Master and serve God's Kingdom. (I Chronicles 29:14, 1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 25:21)
Children
We believe that children are a heritage from the Lord. It is our desire to provide a safe place for youth and children, training them in the way they should go, learning to fear the Lord, and rest in His protection. (Psalm 12:7; 34:1, Proverbs, 22:6, 2 Timothy 3:15, Psalm 91)
