Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating. We want you to feel welcome at Pilgrim's Rest. We invite you to visit us, see what we're about, and make yourself at home. When you arrive, you'll find friendly, welcoming faces. We won't single you out or embarrass you, but we will assist you in any way you can. We believe you will find we are a church who loves Christ and desires to make Him known.
The goal of worship is to glorify God and to edify one another. As such we seek to sing songs that are both uplifting and theologically weighty so that we may focus on our Savior. Our worship is usually traditional, but we prefer to choose songs based on lyrical content rather than musical style.
Our preaching is expositional which means the point of the text is the point of the sermon. Our commitment to you is that the message you hear will always be anchored in the truth of God’s Word. We will not waste your time with mere opinion. It is our belief that when the Word is truly preached, the voice of God is really heard.
We have classes for all ages, including AWANA and youth group. Our congregation is multi generational, so regardless of your stage of life, you will find friends and a place to get involved.
